    Connect ChatGPT to Purple+

    Control Purple+ from a conversation in ChatGPT. Ask it to generate posts, schedule them, send emails, approve drafts, or publish ads — all running in your Purple+ organisation, billed to your credits.

    This guide walks you through the one-time setup. It takes about 2 minutes.

    What you'll get

    Once connected, you can say things like:

    • "Draft an Instagram post about our spring sale and schedule it for Friday at 10am."
    • "Show me the drafts waiting for approval."
    • "Publish a Meta Ads campaign for the new collection with a €50 daily budget."

    ChatGPT handles the conversation. Purple+ does the work.

    Before you start

    You'll need:

    • A ChatGPT account on the Plus, Pro, Business, or Enterprise plan. The Free plan does not support custom MCP connectors.
    • Developer Mode enabled for connectors (Settings → Connectors → Advanced → Developer mode).
    • A Purple+ account with at least one organisation set up.

    No app or plugin install required. ChatGPT talks to Purple+ directly over MCP.

    Step 1 — Copy the Purple+ MCP URL

    Copy this URL — you'll paste it into ChatGPT in the next step.

    Step 2 — Open ChatGPT's connector settings

    1. Go to chatgpt.com and sign in.
    2. Click your profile (bottom-left) → Settings.
    3. Open the Connectors tab.
    4. Switch on Developer mode (under Advanced) if it isn't already.
    5. Click Add server (or Add custom connector).

    If you don't see Developer mode, check that you're on a paid ChatGPT plan. On Business/Enterprise, your workspace admin may need to enable custom connectors.

    Step 3 — Paste the URL and connect

    In the dialog:

    • Name: Purple+
    • MCP server URL: paste https://mcp.purpleplus.ai
    • Authentication: OAuth

    Click Add (or Connect).

    Step 4 — Sign in and pick an organisation

    A Purple+ popup will open.

    1. Sign in to Purple+ if you aren't already.
    2. Choose the organisation ChatGPT should act on behalf of. Every action ChatGPT takes — and every credit it spends — will be charged to this organisation.
    3. Review the permissions and click Allow.

    The popup will close and ChatGPT will show "Purple+" as Connected.

    Step 5 — Try it

    Start a new ChatGPT chat. Make sure the Purple+ connector is enabled for the conversation (toggle it in the composer's tools menu), then try:

    • "Using Purple+, generate a LinkedIn post announcing our Q2 results."
    • "Schedule that post for next Tuesday at 9am."
    • "Show me the social posts waiting for approval in Purple+."

    ChatGPT will call Purple+ and reply with a link to the result you can open and edit.

    Managing the connection

    • Revoke access: in Purple+, go to Connectors → Connect your LLMs and click the trash icon next to ChatGPT. Access is cut off immediately.
    • Re-connect: just repeat Step 3. You can connect ChatGPT to a different organisation by signing in to that org first.
    • Switch organisations: revoke, then re-connect and pick the new org during sign-in.

    Troubleshooting

    The popup didn't open. Allow popups for chatgpt.com in your browser, then click Connect again.

    "Invalid session" or "Sign in to continue". Open app.purpleplus.ai, sign in, then retry the connect flow in ChatGPT.

    ChatGPT can't see the Purple+ tools. Open the tools menu in the composer and make sure Purple+ is toggled on for the conversation. If still missing, remove the connector in ChatGPT's settings and add it again, then start a new chat.

    My action panel link doesn't open. Make sure you're signed in to Purple+ in the same browser. The link uses a short-lived token tied to your session.

    FAQ

    Is my data safe? Yes. The connection uses OAuth with scoped tokens. ChatGPT never sees your password. You can revoke access at any time and the tokens stop working immediately.

    Which ChatGPT models can use this? Any model available on your paid plan. Connectors work at the account level, not per-model.

    Can my whole team share one connection? Each ChatGPT user adds the connector individually, but they can all pick the same Purple+ organisation. Usage from every teammate is billed to that organisation's credits.

    Does ChatGPT post things without asking? No. Generation, scheduling, and publishing always produce a Purple+ action panel that you review and approve before anything goes live.

    Where do I see what ChatGPT has done? Open Purple+ → Drafts or Calendar. Every action ChatGPT takes shows up there with full history.
